They are upgrading the library after 100 years!!! #ctbeautifulsoul
excellent community resource!
Still a good place to read and learn in peace.
It's a nice library. Not a very big children's area. One problem I had there was about the computers. My son and I had to use the computers for two different reasons, his age was not allowed in adult section, my age was not allowed to use in the children's section. We had to do our stuff separate which took longer.
This is a really wonderful library. I am familiar with the Children's section, and can't speak too much for the main section. But the Children's program organizes so many great activities for little kids. In the summers there is so much to choose from between reading, crafts, and special visitors (musicians or animals). During the rest of the year, they always have a weekly story time which is a great way to get out of the house and have your little ones hear some stories, songs, and then play with toys. Plus, as a stay-at-home parent it's nice to chat a little with other adults too, who are always nice here. I've gone around to quite a few local library programs (Southington, Wallingford, Berlin, Middletown being the other towns) and this one and the Cheshire Children's library programs are my favorite.
