My sweet little 5 lb rescue chi/yorkie was diagnosed with heartworms, we were devistated to learn of the traditional procedure to cure heartworms. I couldn't imagine putting my sweet little girl through that agony and possibly killing her in the process. I found Dr. Tobin on a holistic vet website. He prescribed 2 rounds of holistic treatment to kill the worms in a "slow kill" process and also gave her some holistic support meds. I am so thrilled to report that she is now heartworm free and perfectly healthy and happy without any of the agony of traditional (poisoning) treatment. It took longer to get rid of the worms but it worked and I do know that with holistic medicine you must have patience. Dr. Tobin is now our regular vet for both our rescue babies. Not to mention the fact this his prices are very reasonable and he doesn't prescribe un-necessary treatments or preventions.
